1) Thirty Seven plays 2) No-body knows Shakespeare's exact date of birth because of lack of documentation for the time!. However, we do know he was born in 1564 and was Baptised at the Holy Trinity Church on April 26th!. By tradition his birth date is celebrated on April 23rd but it can never be known for certain his exact birth date!. 3/4) Again, no-one knows for certain how he died, however in the year he died there was a serious outbreak of Typhus known as the `new fever` and it is possible Shakespeare was a victim!. There is also a suggestion by John Ward, a Vicar that Shakespeare came down with a chill after drinking with Ben Johnson and John Drayton but he was writing this account 50 years after Shakespeare's death so many historians have discounted his account!. Whatever, it was it happened very quickly as Shakespeare, on March 25th pronounced himself in perfect health yet he died on 23rd April 1616 aged 52 years!. 5) Sonnet 145 is the first poem and starts "Those lips that love`s own hand did make"!. It has been said that this poem was written for his wife, Anne Hathaway 6) Shakespeare was one of the first writers to write his works in English!. Previously all writings had been in Latin and although his writings were in English it was not the modern version we know today it was old English and the meanings of words today may differ in meaning in the time of Shakespeare!. 7) He grew up in StratfordWww@QuestionHome@Com
