"thank you for all the pain"

That smile showed me future hell
The eyes showed me a perfect future
Being confused I took the chance
I wish I could of seen a clearer picture
I would of ran for my life
When the time came to leave you it was too late
God had given me a child
Times got tougher
Your hands got rougher
Tears fell non stop
The abuse was unbearable
Confusion had sunken in so deep
Where did I go!?
What should I do!?
Answers so clear but easy to ignore
I just longed for some kind of change
I thought I loved you
I knew the love you had for me wasn't love at all
I tried so hard
The bruises,the tears,the names,the scars
It was too much
My time came to end it all
You said "even after all the years!?"
Yes,Yes Mister
You made my life easier
I now see where I belong
Thank you for all the pain
It brightened my eyes
I see what I deserve
Again thank you for it all
Because I found my true love
And trust me
He washed it all away
