Question: Does the song inside this poem do anything for you!?
I WILL NOT TURN…PINK

On a midnight walk,
Down a moonlit pier,
appears,
a creature from the sea,

He says, “Hey man can
you give me a light!?”
What a peculiar sight…
indeed,

I says, “Fish, I quit,
Smoking sea weed,
But still,
You’re standing here
with me,”

Fish to fish, out in the air,
It would be safer in the water,

So, I step inside, to hide,
From the big pink fish,
At the end of the pier,
With a cigar and beer,

Lobster red, lemon yellow,
Clarified butter, austere,
“Can he be…
poached!?”

Someone said, sounds like October!.!.!.well, I'm a coastal gal living in the mountains now!.!.!.and it speaks of neither fall/ location, except in superficial generalities!.
I usually like your pieces!.!.!.not this one!. But remember, I'm only speaking for myself and not for the merit of the piece!.
I don't find it humorous, either!. To the contrary, I find it on the boring side!.
