Three baskets
He was presented with three baskets labeled before, during, and after!.
I’ll take before!.
Incandescent light
nurtured the room
as we rested peacefully
Gloom dissipated as our figures loomed
above with thoughts of
then, when Cypress tress
grew along the ground and shot
to the sky
while you and I
showered in the rain
and a chain of events
pulled us together
No words needed
a look
a touch
a smile
to beguile
a fleeting time
as we climbed our way to each other
Remember when!?
We were young and bold
with nothing to hold
on to
nothing but each other

You have command of words at your fingertips!.!.!.now, poets have that, and use words well!.!.!.as you have done here!.
A lot of 'poets' let the words control them!. They must overcome this 'fear' (should I say!?) of using words blissfully and blithely!.!.!.let their words be as children to them!.!.!.and teach the words/children well!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
I always like a good conclusion!. You have done well throughout but the last stanza is to me where it shines best!.
This is the kind of poetry that is best read soaking in the tub, with a candle the only light!.!.!. it's on a shelf over your shoulder, words readable but in and out of the candlelight!.!.!. delicate flickering shadows, the smell of french vanilla, and someone you love washing your back!.!.!. and you read the words with passion!.
This is why books are necessary!.!.!. a notebook or phone won't do!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
