Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
The rhythm of this quatrain is made up of one unaccented syllable followed by an accented syllable, which is called an iambic foot!. There are five feet per line, making the meter of the line pentameter (pent=5, per meter)!. So, the rhythm and meter are collectively known as iambic pentameter!.

An example:

An example of an iamb would be good BYE!.
A line of iambic pentameter flows like this:
baBOOM / baBOOM / baBOOM / baBOOM / baBOOM!.

Shall I / com PARE/ thee TO / a SUM / mer’s DAY!?
Thou ART / more LOVE / ly AND / more TEM / per ATE (Sonnet 18)

The theme of this sonnet is rather complicated, but ultimately the speaker tells us that a person's love should grow stronger as his time left to love is running out (due to old age)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
