Question: What do you think love sounds like poetically!?
What love sounds like
by Jellz Fisher 080917

In this life no words can heal
Inspire me, motivate
Impel me deep inside to feel
My name feels safe in your mouth

When you utter the chosen word
Which causes me to heel
When no other longs to be heard
My name feels safe in your mouth

Pride expressed I hear you call me
Phrasing a different sound
Powerfully, softly or gently
My name feels safe in your mouth

Shouted or hushed in whispered tone
Sealed with a heart so true
Sensing mine with yours, never alone
My name feels safe in your mouth

Adult: “What does love mean!?”
Child: “My name feels safe in your mouth”

Its good !.!.!.!.

Words wound and hearts bleed,
Oh for a glimmer of faith!.
To inspire this heart again,
My name upon your lips

Assume a mantra potency
An ethereal beauty
a profound love, a name
spoken, become as love upon your lips

A word unsaid, a thought unspoken
A gesture maybe, a simple token
In anger or in loves swoon
My name upon your lips!.

A loud imploring, a silent plea
A word, a smile in unity
Comforting reassurance and peace
Of my name uttered by you !.!.!.

Jellz, "My name feels safe in your mouth" -- what a wondrous statement! In all the ways the lover can pronounce the name, ultimately there is a feeling of trust, of assurance that the name is protected!. Poetry inspires new paths for thought every day!.

I have heard my name spoken in love, in anger, in disgust by different people during a lifetime!. I have heard it spoken in trust, in power, in fear!. "What's in a name!?" Now you have given us a new question: "What's in a name that feels safe in a mouth!?"Www@QuestionHome@Com

I like this Jellz!. In fact I love it!. The phrase 'My name feels safe in your mouth' is an intensely personal statement, expressing the vulnerability we all feel when our very identity is in the control of another!. To feel that you are safe in this position, that your ego/id/persona/soul is safe because it is this particular person who has this power says a lot!.

The repetition conveys this feeling beautifully!.

I have not heard the phrase before, but I will remember it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

-My name feels safe in your mouth-
Safe is a lame, and not very germane way of expressing the exact depth of that appreciation!. The repetition is slightly head turning(not in a good way)!. I think you could exemplify, and use a better descriptive, poetic, application, to let your readers catch on to whatever the hell the love, exhibited here, really means!. To me this poem seems almost inexplicalbly gossamer!.

Jellz, as the other posters (the serious ones) say, the phrase "My name feels safe in your mouth" is evocative and personal, nice job!. I'd lose the last two lines however, it's a bit over the top!. (adult/child)!. One final comment, while the poem is nice, it never really addresses the "sound" of love!. I still want to know what love sounds like!.

Again, very nice!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Jellz, I disagree with Daniel, I think you DID address the sound of love, it is the sound one hears when their name is spoken from the mouth of one who makes it sound safe!. It is undefinable and intangible, but when heard with the heart, is the sweetest sound there is!.
Beautiful poem, Thanks!

I will never forget this poem because of the name reference!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
