Question: Would you care to comment on a poem!?
Great Diana
by C!.S!. Scotkin

Great Diana
from Cynthos’ height
full draped in
gauzed and misted light
stares at mortals
through the night!.

She pulls her bow
as mortals scheme,
Her arrow flies,
Olympian beam,
through dark’s ether
bestows a dream!.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Cynthos, Mountain, or the hill, at times shrouded in mist!.
Diana, (Roman mythology) virgin goddess of the hunt and the Moon!.
Olympian, The greater gods of ancient Greece

You choose your characters well!. A well versed lady in mythology who uses her characters to play the parts that they were intended to play!.
This was a play well worth standing in a queue for!.

How fortunate I am to be acquainted with the author!.

I wish I could get hit by Great Diana's bow, making my dream come true!. But what's the price!? What could she possible want from us mere mortals!? This is really nice work, to me nice work is work that gets the reader thinking of more even through more is not provided!. It makes the reader visualize such a person or event!. You've done a great job at that, maybe Great Diana from should have a series of her doings!. You got an interesting character already, expand her more!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Beautiful rhyme's, beautiful subject matter, though as personal preference I always did prefer Diana's Greek name, Artemis!. But this is just me, as Roman deities seem so cold and aloof!. This does not detract in any sense from the overwhelming beauty and simplicity of your poem!. It is a joy to see your questions, to read your words, to be edified by your comments and knowledge!. Thanks, C!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Maybe a dash after ether!? To give a slight pause!.

I love the rhythm of this - The first stanza/verse flows like Diana's robe
and the next doesn't disappoint!.

Since I know nuffink about Greek mythology I can only visualise what you have captured with your words!.!.!.!.but, that's fine!. A little appetiser before lunch!?!.!.!.Now I want the remaining 3 courses!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Methinks the "huntress" has captured your dreams and heart without loosing her bow!. Beautiful!. Read it to her!.

and *bows to your pen* thank you for the edification!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

As Neonman said, you do mythology well!. This has a great feel to it, I can almost see the campfire smoke and the robes and bad hair all around in the woods!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Now you're talking! A wonderful love poem without hitting the reader on the head with anguish or mush!. Classical references!. I'm very proud of what you have accomplished in such a short time!Www@QuestionHome@Com

You do mythology well!. Liked the end rhyme thrown into the lines!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
