Question: Is this an example of allegory!?
From the song,
"Dumb it Down"
By Lupe Fiasco

“I’m flying on Pegasus you’re flying on the Pheasant”

and

“Don’t snort the white horse, but toot on my own horn!.”" (Unicorn)Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's kind of difficult to tell since it is quoted out of context!. An allegory is an extended metaphor in which objects are equated with meanings outside of the poem!. Since we don't have the poem it is hard to tell if this fits the definition!. My guess is that the first line is not allegorical because it is not a metaphor!. The second line could be allegorical if the "White Horse" is equated with, say, cocaine!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
