I posted my 'beach painted' poem earlier speaking of happier times as a counterpoint to the autumn postings,,, now the flip side of the beach I suppose!.
As always, comments and suggestions are truly welcomed by this novice who struggles most days!.
Reflected in a single grain of sand,
returning the light, a distant source!.
In a shining moment, I heard you calling,
whispers from distant breaking waves!.
I knew you were there, yes, I saw you pass,
reflection of a single, white grain of sand!.
Grieving, my only plan, until I saw your light,
heard your sultry, soothing voice speak to me!.
Upon my mantle, surely a place of honor,
I preserved that single grain of sand!.
My grief has eased, no longer haunting,
I know you passed to a calm, gentle place!.
