Question: What say to "And Now, The Flooding Of Houma" Poem!?
And now, water!. Oozing over broken levees!.
Broken by defiance!.

Whose hands tore chunks from salvation,
Distributed them to crabs, ditches, back to silt!?

The Jester looks apologetic!.!.!.be not fooled by
His eyes, for they search, while smiling, cajoling!.

Malignant Jester all the same!.!.
Malificus Malficorum!

Dancing with the Devil on these bayous!.

Churches hold no services today!.!.!.
Baptize thyself in Waters of the Mother!.!.!.

Mother!. Do you see us, hear us, want us!?
Send the salvation of sandbags, for we are

Already water-baptized!.!.!.

Houma cries today!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You have said all in this poem!. I have seen what is happening!. please be safe!.!.!.as I just posted this acrostic to another question, it is appropriate I do it here as well!.

Horrors of maddened skies
Under waters raging with no good intent
Rendering all hopes for
Recovery floundering
Impotent in the face of
Cruel nature in
Angry shredded gown of black and gray
Noticing not her creatures; try to
Escape her wrath!Www@QuestionHome@Com

The unrelentness cruelty of nature!. The unstopable force that doesn't know good or evil!. It just is and just exists!. In infinity a speck of dust that our lives occupy are not only insignificant but pointless!. Yet a life without a point is like a game without rules - it doesn't work!. So we make it work - if only until we are reminded of the truth that is larger than us!. I liked your poem, read over mine if you don't mind:

Is penance on this earth
to constantly rebuild!?
Or do jesters love
all these human tears!?

The beauty of your land certainly carries a fragile relationship with nature!. Well spoken!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Holding back
Backs broken
Broken souls
Souls swimming
Swimming uphill
Uphill battles
Battles brought
Brought downward
Downward casting
Casting hope
Hope floats

I hope you do!!!
