Question: In what way are you like a trumpet vine blossom!?
Fragility

Deep orange blossoms
on trumpet vine, so new
with their first morning dew!.
Hesitant to lift bearing branch
heavily laden with tender cluster
to be ever so gently
anchored to trellis' support!.

Now time has passed,
aged cluster without
its beauty and its charm!.
Dry, shriveled blossoms since fallen,
their days in the sun but fond memory!.
Spent, they sit upon dry ground!.
Fragility not a concern!.

Like blossom, I've
known my days in the sun!.
My beauty, charm has passed!.
Dew no longer graces my face,
dried up, I lay spent with old memories!.
In one thing we do part ways,
I'm fragile still, handle with care!.

My once bright leaf dangles precariously on the limb awaiting one cold icy breeze before I join the blossom whose trumpet sounds no more!. My petiole is limp from age, my colors all gone, my stipules flower no more!. I am destined to be bound to earth and decay until my presence fades to nothing!.!.!. where I shall out of no where rise again!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes i do and i use to have one!. Even thought they smell nice and look so pretty we know there is a time to depart !. Even though they die and shrivel up they will be back in the spring!. They die but make a promise they will return for us to enjoy their beauty!.Wouldnt that be nice if we all have that promise to come back!. We are all humans fragile but we all dont know if we will ever see another season unlike the trumpet vine!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Ma beautiful poetry here, the blossoms on my trellis are of different shades of blue in trumpet shape! As far as your beauty and grace you still have that, it doesn't have to show on your face, those are shown from within and then out and everyone can see! By the way you are a beautiful woman, you must have more dew than you realize!
Cheers!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Nice poem, ma -but I agree with "dah", your beauty and charm have not passed (and you're less fragile than you lead us to think)!. My grandmother used to have vines on a trellis with orange trumpet-shaped flowers on them, but we always called them honeysuckle (don't know if that's the same or a different flower than yours)!. Beautiful Ma but Springtime comes every year, the time of renewing and should we ourselves not make it that long, we have Grandchildren, nieces and nephews, waiting in the wings to take our places!. It is the way of the Earth!.
I just had to explain this to my 12 year old Grandson whose other Grandmother died that he loved so much!. I told him, there's even a use for us when we are shriveled, pressed between the pages of a book!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Whether we are young and new with "first morning dew" or we are "dry, shrivelled blossoms", we are equally fragile!. The appearance of youth often belies the fragility therein!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

I am not getting any older now!.!.
I am just getting better
I cannot imagine that I will wilt any
time soon as my time has NOT yet come!.
(even if I AM fragile and worn and need special handling)!.
I have become defiant!Www@QuestionHome@Com

After you experience life to its fullest, we begin to die slowly, into a phase of old that was once our youth of beauty !?Www@QuestionHome@Com
