I submitted 4 of my poems to this website a few months ago and this morning I received a letter telling me that one of them was going to be published!. I've heard several people say it's a complete scam, and I'm not going to act on this letter, or the many e-mails they've sent me!. I don't even believe they read my poem!

I was told I had won the Editors choice award, they said that my poem was in the semi-finals, that I was a good chance off winning, then I was inundated with emails trying to get me to pay for this honour everything with them is money, if you want your poems published why not send them to me @ http://www!.poetrybysilvertongue!.com/your!.!.!. we publish for free, no hidden agenda or costs I developed this site and http://www!.poetryforall!.co!.uk/ because Poetry!.com was such a con, many have spent thousands on their so called conventions and trophies!. The Trophy they say I won would be presented to me at the convention, if I couldn't go to the convention in Las Vagas ( which cost nearly $600 b4 flight and hotel accom') they would send my trophy to me at a cost of $80+pp - so what you are doing really is paying for the trophy, you don't win it!. look it up on the internet and see the sad stories of their victims - thismis just one of them http://journals!.aol!.ca/plittle/journal4/!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com not a 'complete' scam they will publish just about anything they get, in microscopic print in a 4 inch thick book, then they'll try to sell you copies of the book and set your poem on a plaque and try to sell you that, but they also really do give prizes for exceptional work, but its still a capitalist plot~they just want your moneyWww@QuestionHome@Com they will tell you how wonderful you are and then ask for money to publish your poems and it goes on and on!.!. it is not recommended by the canadian poets scociety as a reputable site!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Yeah they pretty much are crap!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Yep!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Yes!Www@QuestionHome@Com yesWww@QuestionHome@Com |
