Question: Have you been witness to a miracle!?
Miracle on 28th Ave, South
By C!.S!. Scotkin

A ninety year old
sharecropper’s daughter
lost her left leg six months ago,
nearly lost her right!.
Daily visits to see to wounds
horrific, yet her will remained
unblemished by hopelessness
or self pity, as her body slowly healed!.

I knocked on her door today
“Come in!” Her voice is so strong,
so light!. Her wrinkled face glows,
her smile is blessing!.
“Sit down, child,
I want to show you something,”
Her old walker is next to her,
puts it in front of her wheel chair!.
Removes the blanket from her lap!.
At last, the prize! Aluminum trophy!
She cautiously stood,
took four steps into my memory, forever!.

I've seen many miracles, they're called people!. Thank you for recalling the wonder to memory!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

yes i have memories of a few things
that i call miracles
either if it happens to you
or someone close to your heart
it well give you hope ,
or give you the power to stand tall
after a lost fight with life
or make you feel special in a way or another
for just being there
to be a witness ,
and gives you a clear vision
of great little things in your life
that no one would care to think of but you
!. because you are honest enough to your self to believe in miracles

While I was working one night at my job in a Hospital,I feel I witnessed a miracle!. It was a half hour before I was to go home!. I worked to 11 pm!. I was sitting at the bedside of an eldery dying woman!. Just trying to figure out what was next for her!. I was hoping I could be holding her hand when she took her last breath!. She had no family!. The room was dark but the hall light was on!. All of a sudden I saw a light that looked like a big halo come over her whole body!. I took her vitals and she was gone!. I actually witnessed her crossing over!. What a gift that was!. I will never forget it!.

A lovely piece of work which I can relate to
as I have worked amongst the sick and the elderly for a long time!.
I now have to applaud the work you have done to make this visible to others that a miracle indeed occurs in every persons life on a daily basis!.
The woman with the walker has stepped into my memory as well!.
As has the Lady with a brace!.!. I will always remember her courage and come back from stroke that left her bedridden and helpless! Yet she dared to try and we walked across the room daily with a brace on her leg and me by her side!.!.!. To some nothing special!.!. to me AWESOME!Www@QuestionHome@Com

My Gawd, dis is de po-a-tree sect-eon!. Comment on the poetry as well as the question people!.!.!. sigh

Yes many times, especially when I look in a mirror!. I also worked in a neonatal intensive care unit; miracles are daily happenings there, and my greatest respect is to the nurses that look out for these little miracles!. I once saw a baby alive that would fit into the palm of my hand, weighed a little more than a pound!.

I loved the poem, I suspect because I too am getting old!.

add: I didn't work in the NICU everyday, I was only there occassionally doing maintenance on biomedical equipment!.
I loved those nurses!.!.!. they were the cream of the crop!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
