A poem on War
Act I:
The husband’s is smiling ‘cause all is well;
He sees on her belly the beginning of a swell;
She’s ingested his sperm like so many can,
He doubts he can be enough of a man;
Fatherhood is serious, not one second a joke,
His wife thinks he’s ready, he’s no average bloke;
Her **** begin to sag and she becomes a woman,
His eyes pop out when he sees her glowin’;
They go to the hospital and next comes labour,
Husband’s in the lobby hand in hand with a neighbor,
She pushes and pushes and out comes Jenny,
He cries upon seeing his wife and her mini;
Act II:
Jenny if fifteen and life is about boys,
Long put away are the Barbies and toys;
Her mother has taught her the ways of beauty,
Dad can’t deny she’s become quite a cutie;
Her voice is changing and the chest is swelling,
No wonder Pa is worryingly dwelling,
A year passes by and the towers have fell,
Jenny is smart and is mad as hell;
First go the boys then the makeup,
Daddy is ignored and with Jack she has a breakup;
She watches the news like a woman going mad,
When she thinks of 9-11 she always gets sad;
Slowly she loses her dresses and her friends,
She couldn’t care less and makes no amends;
In the mall one day she meets a recruiter,
She continues to see him, he’s now her tuitor;
Two years pass and she’s a high school grad,
In the meantime the news has made her go mad;
Daddy is frightened and so is mommy,
When she finally signs the paper and joins the Army;
Mommy and Daddy are told she’ll be fine,
Eight months later she steps on a mine;
Act III: (The Fall)
She’s put in a casket and lowered six feet,
Mom’s now on pills and dad can’t eat;
The days get rougher and the pills less potent,
Mommy is waiting for just the right moment;
The father is drinking and can’t hold a job,
His life without her is nothing but a fog;
Bush sends more daughters so Mom pulls the trigger,
Daddy stays alive and pretends to be bigger;
Daddy still visits their graves with a stare,
He’s become catatonic so why should he careWww@QuestionHome@Com
