Maury’s Used Lot
Had enough, bills too much
time to trade the clunker!.
Pulled into Maury’s Used Lot,
on a mission, money in hand!.
Espied that model…
the one with classic lines!.
A true muscle machine,
elegantly understated!.
How much for that beauty there!?
‘Two million five’, his reply!.
‘Pop your memory chip in and
Its good to go, ain’t she a beaut!.’
How much with the trade!?
‘A G note less is all he said!.’
Come now you can do better!
There’s a lot more miles here!
Now Maury, a cagey one, smiled,
and walked around to survey
as I stood fidgeting for his reply!.
He knew he had me, it was time!.
‘It’s truly a shame, he said, a shame!.
How anyone would let it go to this!
Hell… I’m doing you a favor!
A G note is all you’re getting!’
Sheepishly smiling, counted the dough!.
If only I had taken care of myself!.
Oh well, I’m glad its 2510…
Bodies replaced, we live in chips!.
