Question: What kind of poetry do you prefer writing!?
I know I asked this before, but last time I hadn't gotten the answer I was looking for!. Maybe because I hadn't phrased it right or it wasn't legit!. I'm actually just curious, what's your style!. Sometimes, there's freestyle where nothing has to rhyme or be exact on syllables just pure thought!. In my opinion that's what makes the best poem, when it's from the heart and not rhythmic or anything!. I know there's two different kinds of poetry(pros and rhyme), but there's always that one type that's neglected and left out!. I'm talking about the kind Langston Hughes used to write!. I know that he was not well educated but he was brilliant!. As was Emily Dickinson!. There poetry is neither pros nor rhyme!. So do you prefer the type that has to be worked on or the type that comes natural and from the heart!? The kind that take barely seconds to think up and write!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
In my personal opinion I prefer the poetry born from the heart (to put it)!.
I'm not quite sure I completely understand the whole question, but I do indeed have the opinion you're asking for!
I'm a big fan of Emily Dickinson and the fourteener (1st verse 8 syllables, 2nd verse 6 syllables)!. And I write almost completely and naturally in the fouteener, as did Emily!.
But here's the thing!.
I don't necessarily care in what style a certain poem is written in!.

As long as it can appeal to your emotions, I don't think the particular style it's written in is important!. It only has to flow!.
And while an unorderly poem or any piece of writing is inevitabley (um!.!.!.) repulsive, I don't think that there should be so many rules and regulations for writing poetry!.
I enjoy writing both the poems that take hours to work on befor you feel good about them, and the ones that spill out of you in seconds!.

I like poetry (well lyrics for me) that rhyme and come from the heart at the same time!. The poems where the words just fall out of your mouth and they just match together are the most beautiful and interesting to read or listen to!. Poems that have been overthought often show when you read them!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
