Question: A Pome - a fun thing!. Do you share my secret vice!?
I have a secret vice!.
May I whisper it to you!?
Promise you won't reveal it,
No matter what I do!?
Sometimes I indulge it
Three or four times in a week!.
I cannot suppress my urges
As It disturbs my restful sleep!.
I don't do it!.!.!.!.obviously,
Unless I'm all alone!.
Not that I'm ashamed of it,
But, if the truth were known
Folk may give me funny looks
And point a scornful finger
And I will have to scuttle by
Not staying long to linger!.
Do you want to know my secret!?
I know you won't pass it on!.
I write Poetry on Line!.!.!.!.!.
Now all my guilt is gone!
I feel cleansed and purified
Hurrah, now I am free
And I can slip away each day

I know a veteran of a long-ago war who writes poetry that is often published in our local papers!. His fellow veterans of the American Legion are often scornful!.
Recently, I said, "It is better to write a poem than to aim a gun!."
