Meeting You

My dear, I do remember the day we met!.
Did you think I could forget that day…
A Tuesday it was, in early April,
the air was cool, the breezes bounced
off wavelets in the bay!.
The sun for once, was gentle,
not burning yet in tropical skies,
no cloud dared to show its face to
spoil the dome of lapis blue!.
Though we had been writing, talking
for what seemed years,
only five months since the
virtual matchmaker threw us together!.
I see you still, walking toward me
in the airport, oblivious,
every other person, vanished!.
I met your eyes, relaxed as your smile widened…
Our hands touched, our cheeks touched,
You said, I’ve missed you all my life!.
My dear, I do remember the day we met!.

For I'd rather not see if I could not see thee,

Bodies and souls bound together until the end of time!.

A happy ending - to a "virtual matchmaker"!. To become friends via pen and voice - culminating in physical recognition!. I have often thought of - if this type of arrangement works out!. But again - what is physical "chemistry" if the intellectual connection has already been established!. ?Www@QuestionHome@Com
Really nice train of thought moving through this poem!. I liked some of your subtle choices a lot:
breezes bounced off wavelets (nice word there) in the bay
dome of lapis blue
also the thoughts expressed in the final two lines!.
