Question: Have you met "Ken Craven"!? Please, your thoughts on this sad fellow are appreciated!.
There was suggested in those knotted arms
And echoing through harrowed, downturned eyes
The sense of chance as risk to amortize
And pacify through curious countercharms!.
So in the borough all would come and pass,
And when Dame Fortune dared to speak his name
The wounded one would silently disclaim
All privilege, and turn his hourglass!.
Then finally, when all his sands had run,
The Lady spoke no more and he, bereft,
Would ruminate about his chosen curse,
Enwreathing in sardonic benison
The resting place of one who'd grown too deft
And so was left to pluck a fruit far worse!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Dame Fortune's gifts and namings
should never be denied
tis hot to sit under a bushel
with the light you try to hide!.

much to ponder in this beautifully written work, Thanks!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

'tis said, it is a very skillfully crafted sonnet that somehow reminded me of shelley's Ozymandias, I don't know why!. I agree with Cynthia, there is much to ponder about in this poem, and as usual, it taught me a lot of new vocabulary!. I never get tired of your poems, and visit your profile page here and then to read them again!. Please write more of this!.

Thank you very much,

With best wishes,
