Question: Need constructive criticism on poem please!
On Our Graduation:

We've spent thirteen years together,
we've had people come and go!.
We've grown up and we're better
for all the people we've known;

People that we've cared about,
and others, not so much,
are all gathered here
in this place as one!.

We sit in perfect rows,
dressed in green and white,
waiting for our "papers"
and our walk up the aisle!.

We glance around the room,
looking for faces we know,
look back at the stage,
and smile, because we know!.!.!.

Soon we'll stand and walk,
hold our heads up high!.
Some of us will laugh,
some of us will cry!.

We smile when we hear
our names called from a man,
who holds our slips of freedom
and our futures in his hands!.

We smile for our pictures,
then return and wait,
say a few more words,
then hear choir voices ring!.

Sing our alma mater,
and hear the closing words,
"We're proud of what you've done,
now go out into the world!."

We've all been given our freedom,
and said our last good-byes,
so here can we go now,
but forward in our lives!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well done! Extremely well done!.
suggestions:
for all the people we've known; {{for all the people that we've known;}}
People that we've cared about, {{People we have cared about,}}
This couplet doesn't flow as well as the rest of the poem:
"We're proud of what you've done,
now go out into the world!."

This one is slightly off too:
so here can we go now, <----- so where!?!?!? is that what you meant!?
but forward in our lives!?

Again -- an excellent poem!. One you should be very proud to read to your classmates and the audience!.

Nicley written!. I like the way you have divided it into quatrains, but I think you could have made it more lyrical by rhyming the second and the last lines!. ( i!.e ABCB pattern)!. but no need to worry, it's just a matter of personal taste!.
your rythm is also a bit off, but again, not such a big deal!.

Overall I think you've done a good job!. Well done!.

Have a nice day,

Are you planning on reading this at your graduation!? Well congrats and this paired with some memories will make a wonderful speech!. If our valedictorian hadn't been so self centered and had done something like this it would've been so much better!. Great idea!Www@QuestionHome@Com
