Question: How much do you trust the Postal Service!?
Snail mail
by C!.S!. Scotkin

I wrote to you tonight,
Inconsequential musings
this time a font is used,
you may not recognize it!.

I wrote to you in love
of life’s sweet, small adventure!.
How much I do miss you,
I yearn to hold you soon!.

I wrote to you, dear one,
a small gift from me tonight,
one etched by my own hand!.
The post man will deliver!.

Great poem! I agree with you: there is nothing more moving than receiving a letter from a loved one, touching the paper that has been touched, seeing the handwriting for the first time, reading the loving words again and again!.!.!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

How much should I trust any agency with a Dead Letters Office!? As for my local service, it is much better than it was a few years ago, when I could trust the deliveryman only to open and read sensitive documents (and leave the advertising alone)!. Oh, I enjoyed the poem far more than I did my postal service, but if I wished to tell a loved one how much I cared, I would bypass the PO utterly!. The poem I could not put past so easily!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I feel they do an excellent job, getting the mail from one place to another considering how much mail that there is! It is picked up and delivered and could be easily lost! I can only remember 1 time in all my years something not being delivered and was lost! To me that is a really good track record!

Loved your poetry and points out the rarity of writting letters, now that the internet has made its way into most homes! We now either email or IM our thoughts! Of course, we still do use regular mail but someday I feel that will that will decrease much! Cheers!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I once received a book with a message inscribed therein--in INK! It is precious to me!. Now, my mailbox contains only junk mail and bills!. Soon even the bills will be paid over the Internet!.

Your poem is an excellent expression of love and the effort needed to maintain such love over a distance!. I read it several times and enjoyed it more each time!.

Email is quick and efficient, but there is nothing like a hand-written card or note arriving in that mailbox!. It's like Christmas! Loved your poem, it made me smile thinking of when I would send my grandmother letters as a child from PA to FL, amazed that she would receive it in two days!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I have a son who is a computer whiz and has helped me out with many things - he is totally for e-mail - BUT - for my birthday and mother's day - I get a card in the mail!. He says - it just feels better that way ?Www@QuestionHome@Com
