scratching at fleas
the heart knows
infestation
the taped message of
lies told
yet believed
becomes your truth
it plays over
and over again
the voice reminds you
of worthlessness
and shame
you did nothing to own
that innocent child
now adult
still scratching the

I interpret this as one who has been left behind as a child but still looks for the hope in lies told long ago!. It is sad they can not move on but need to do just that!. Well done and hope I have read it correctly!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
