Question: "Chain reaction" A poem, comments please!?
Chain reaction

What was the name, which poet penned the words,
that enfolded your searching depth of heart
who opened cavern cells of mind yet unfound,
liken to a buried treasure chest of jewels,
overflowing words of prose, poems, poetry!.
Lyrical tones, singing sounds of love,
eternal life, joy and sorrow all combined
spin each cant hymn, chant words sublime,
myths, truths, doubts, certainties, ponder on!.
Then read the more,
classic poets by the score, hunger feasting evermore!.
And then! Took pen in hand, scribbled words unsure,
with dread of dribble, daft, or drool, yet still write on,
as if!.!.!.!.in answer to a closest friend, who read your mind
and feelings pure, yet never seen, kindred spirits comforting
souls, in touch
with sun, moon, stars, and seas!.
Linked by God, I do believe!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You spent some time on this didn't you!? I like a great poem, more than an author although I would probably lean to Emily as one I have read a lot!. When you can say so much in so few words, while tending to meter and the rest, you have accomplished much!. You could also do the same here is you choose to pare some more, but as it is, it speaks well!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Don't laugh, once again!. I've never really read the great poets of the day!. I mean, sure, the things you have to read in literature class, but beyond that, very little!. I prefer studying the human phenomenon, the chain reaction of which you speak!. This is an excellent poem, and I have to tell you my favorite lines are "Then read the more/classic poets by the score, hunger feasting evermore"

Very reminiscent of "The Raven", haunting, and beautiful, evermore!. Beautiful, and yes, touched and linked by God!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

New to this section - love to represent the atheists over in R&S (thus - my avatar!.)

I see a strange mix of Coleridge and Carroll in the rhythm:

In Xanadu did Kubla Khan's vorpal blade go snicker snack!

(from me - that's praise!.)

I also like -

dread of dribble, daft, or drool

- though I wonder about the extra comma!. And "daft" isn't a noun (but now I think it ought to be!.)Www@QuestionHome@Com
