Break it up into bits and then work it out - like one should do when looking at any poem!.

It means that the narrator wants to know if you would remember him if you saw him in heaven!. Would the relationship or friendship etc would be the same as it is now!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Some people, who believe that when they die, they go to a magical place with streets made of gold and little fairies flying around everywhere!. One of these people who believes this wrote a song to his son because his son died at a young age!.

The man who wrote the song is Eric Clapton and his song name is "Tears in Heaven"!. When he asks "Would you know my name" he is asking if his son will recognize him, because a long time will pass before Eric expects to die!. "Would it be the same" is Eric's way of wondering whether his relationship with his son will be the same in heaven as it was on earth; probably because there is a prayer that says "Thy will be done; on earth as it is in heaven"!.

Now it all makes sense!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
