Question: What do you think of The Road to Home!?
On the lonely road of life
I decided to go
little did I know of strife
how little, did I know!?

I walked many a mile
lost in pride and scorn
I was so lost for a while
wondering, why I was ever born

I was hurt and alone
and felt so out of place
all that I knew was gone
and only my reflection, stared me in the face

I have faced many road blocks
I have trodden the dark path
I have thrown a lot of hurtful rocks
with my life made of glass

but now I can finally see
I was never too far gone
It will never truly rid itself of me,

Beautiful writing!. I checked the picture out Mom of 2 suggested!. Your poetry does not remind me of it!. That picture is too green , full of light and too many trees!. Your poetry is a country setting with a rocky dirt road, sparse but pretty trees, not much grass and maybe an almost dry stream, a big open space, not closed in!. Your poetry is beautiful, wondering if this is an experience or imagination!. Even though it's beautiful, I suggest a little rework on the wording!. What do I know as an amateur!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Laura this poem goes perfect with this picture I just saw!. I saw the picture 1st and then I happened to read your poem, and when I read your poem I pictured myself walking down this road!. try it!

http://answers!.yahoo!.com/question/index;!.!.!.

PS What I love about your poems is that I can relate to them almost 100% of the time!. I do this same exact thing you just wrote about!. Yet I never came up with a poem so exact to explain these thoughts, while walking that road!.

What is interesting about the whole thing, your poem and Sara`s pic is that on my way home I walk through a similar looking path!. It`s in Branch Brook Park, NJ!.

(I came up with a poem called "Life is a Mirage" one night on my way home!.)

Alot of times on these walks I tell myself I need a voice recorder because on these walks is where I get my best poetry, and then when i get home I forget my rhyming thoughts!. Trust me it totally sucks!. I`ll get the recorder one day!. lolWww@QuestionHome@Com
