There is a book
behind the others,
more dusty,
undiscovered
verses from a time
not long
ago,

It’s filled with laughter
and with courage
for when hopes are crushed,
discouraged,
when all you have
is time
to sit
and cry,

So turn the cover,
jilted lover,
let hearts again
discover
words that make the
shadows turn to light,

And do not hide in fright,
I’ll be with you tonight!.

it has been read
it fills my heart with joy!.

Before I sleep,
I'm laughing, crying
no more have I
fear of dying
this book a hundred
times has soothed my soul!.

I will never hide again
for I have a faithful friend
a book that tells me all
I need to know
Booty is truth, truth
is booty, every day I discover
how to write and make
that writing grow!.

There is no darkness
with it beside me
I will always
use it to guide me
and to make the
darkness glow!.
