A Pond in my back yard
that's where I spend my time
a baitcaster in my hand
with one thing on my mind

then its back to work I go
I'd rather be long gone
Like down watching the top fuels
with the rattle down in my bones

sit me in my front yard
with my dogs in my lap
put me in my house
playing with my cats

these are my simple pleasures
they bring a smile to this face
these are the little miracles of home
this is why I love this place

some folks can't find happiness
and they search all through time
but there's no place I'd rather be
