Question: DO U LIKE THIS BE HONEST!?(poetry)!?
PREETY OR UGLY!?
I think i'm pretty,
but other people
think otherwise!.
what if i'm a flower,
waiting to be revived,
or maybe an ugly duckling,
ashamed of what she looks like,
hoping she'll bloom into something astounding!?
what if my petals never get to see
the light again or my feathers
stay that ugly pebbly color!?
i worry too much about what,
others think but i need to know
whether i'm pretty or ugly!.
put it bluntly,while you're in my company,
'cause you'll never ever get to see me cry!.

That is very sad!. I hate to think a 13 year old, with her whole life ahead of her, is so obsessed with her looks!. Is being attractive all that makes you worthy of admiration, love and respect!?

Well, your closing statement ruined it for me, I'll be honest, just as you asked!. also, your first line confuses the rest of the poem!. You begin by saying that YOU think that you're pretty, then continue to say how maybe you're just waiting to come into the fullness of your bloom!. I stand bewildered!.!.!.if someone thinks they are pretty, how can they then cave to the fact that maybe they're not done perfecting yet!. However!.!.!.I'm no genius, perhaps I misread you!. As for a poetic attempt, this was very interesting!. I enjoyed the defiant tone at the end, the strength of the last two lines, however, they made your others seem a little whiny!. Keep writing though!.!.!.and you will come into your bloom!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
