Question: Field of the dead, Care to comment on my Revised Sestina Poem!?
Field of the Dead (Sestina)

I turned and looked across the field
At all the soldiers lying there
I didn’t know what I should feel
When bullets past me by
You’ve got me trusting you
Despite everything, I said before

Doe’s it matter, what I said before
When I’m in a blood stained field!?
I’m all that’s left to call on you
I cant make it, without you there
What can I do, to get by!?
And not act on how I feel!?

I want to run away, that’s how I really feel
No matter what, was said before
I long to kiss this place good-bye
And remove the stench of this field
My friend said “he didn’t want to go there”
But then, he realised its all up to you

You have got me now needing you
But you haven’t, told me how you feel
How do you feel, about what you see there!?
Is it different now, than before!?
What about those fallen in this field!?
Can we just pass them by!?

This is there home and this field, I need to buy
If they, had been listening to you
They would of passed by this field
Only thing in life thats certain, the dead don’t feel
You can’t, live a life by what gone on before
That why they have to stay there

I refuse to go back over there
It time for me to say good bye
Im going back to what I did before
All my trust, I now place in you
I’m doing that, no matter how or what I feel
And if I ever have doubt, then I’ll remember this field

No tommorows in this field I buy
There is nothing here for me or you
Never again, will I feel, like I did beforeWww@QuestionHome@Com

I admire this form and you do it in such a masterly manner!. (Just a small typo: for "tonmorows" read "tomorrows!."Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, I love this poem!. It puts trust in yourself as well as confessing a feeling of despair!. I still do not fully understand how to execute a sestina!.!.but I love the content and theme of your poems!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
