As I pass the time
I make a failed attempt to rhyme
With words you speak
I begin to shriek
But what words!? I do not hear
That is my one and only fear
They say a good friendship can never end
But that all just really depends
All the times that I have hid
Who am I to kid!?
Your charming, witty remarks
They fill my eyes with sparks
It has been far too long
I wish my infatuation would rush along
To find me here in this place today
I know it has been quite a long stay
I know you are smart
But open your mind, open your heart
It is time for both to move on
