Mirror, Mirror
Frank appraisals are needed with aging
as inevitability looms…
Things that anchored up high before
seek safer passage lowered down!.
Extra handles also emerge
as if we need more things to hold!.
Frankly…!.
being a wash and wear type of guy,
modest and yes, somewhat vain,
as least to body shape and looks!
It was time…
Time to appraise my lifetime work,
time to see the real honest truth!.
So, curtains drawn and family gone
I stood tall before the mirror,
removed my shirt and took a look…
Cleaning mirror, I tried again
Hmm… I thought…!.hmm!.
So with…
sense of renewed vigor, I dressed
left the house determined…!.
A change of mirror… I needed,
