Question: "Old Flames" Do they die, comments please!?
That was over
forty years ago,
how could you
know!

I spoke of you
one day,
It was the way
he looked!.

The way he said,
"She and I
were close
once!."

Still thrilled!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I like the poem, but to answer your question, NO old flames normally do not die, they just cool down to embers and smolder!. The things that attracted us in the first place are still there, but many times so are the distracting parts as well!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Some, must always be eternal, for fantasy demands the "what ifs" in our lives!. I like the poem and it's sparseness but am confused with the tenses!. Should "he" not be replaced with "you"!? Maybe it is just me!.

Edit: I got in now! lol Well done!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Some old flames never die - especially the ones that may be "unrequited " - not satisfied!. If you feel that "thrill" - you know that "fond" memories are still there!. ?Www@QuestionHome@Com
