Think of it as a gift, you can bring beauty to the world and to yourself!. Any creative skill that you have is a blessing! There are so many people who wish they had creative talent and simply do not!. Appreciate the beauty of language and enjoy your gift! : )Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think its a gift in that it allows you to know yourself better!. It gives you a vent for any emotional accumulation that may be boiling with in you!.
It let's you aspire other people if you are good at writing, and some poetry is fun to read!. I think having the poetry ability is better than having a hobby of watching Tv, drinking, or something else that kills massive brain cells!.
For me life is better with poetry!.

Even though having a poetic ability is a gift, at times it feels like a curse to me!. I probably wouldn't be on yahoo answers, or write, if I had been a more cultivated into society ways of living as a child!. But I can't change the way I was raised!. I find that even though it may seem, at times, writing is just another way to waste time, I get some kind of pleasure from it!.

It is both!. It cannot help but be both!. The desire to write often drives one crazy!. I've heard a phrase while shopping and simply cannot think until I've written a poem, then and there, that incorporates that!. While it drives me insane and gets me weird looks, I don't think I'd trade my peculiar brand of love for anything!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think it can be both!. It is a gift to be able to put beauty and emotion into words, at the same time the awareness of the world around you (good and bad) and the constant racing of the mind can be a curse!.!.!.!.but a curse I am willing to live with!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Sometimes it is both!. When you can't stop your brain and you can't sleep because you have to write!. Then it's a curse!.
