Question: Run Away with me!. What do you think of this!?
I said before I am not a poet and I dont think this follows a formula but my emotions are honest when I write them and this is just that!. Writing thoughts down!.!.
Run away with me and let’s set off on a grand adventure!.
We can do anything we want and go anywhere we imagine!.
If there was but one companion to choose for eternity
I would choose you!.
Stand beside me when we overlook the deepest canyon,
when we contemplate the greatest divide!.
In lock step we will face danger
And I will hold you close when it is cold!.
If the ground at the end of the earth is too hard
I will give you my lap!.
We will sail over the largest of oceans and brave the
Fiercest storms!.
I won’t be afraid because you are my companion
And you ride the same road as I do!.
We will argue over who can see the most stars
And who can truly tell what the earth is saying!.
I will believe you and you will believe me
After our adventure is over I know you will leave
Because nothing this wonderful can withstand forever
I will stand there and hope the religions are right
So we can explore again later!.
When the sun warms my face finally
I will awaken with aches that come not from dreaming

I've been playing at writing poetry for a few days, and I realize good poetry has to come from the heart as much as from the head!. You do have to feel what you are saying--you can't make it up!.
