At one time you clung to me
Pierced me with your pincers
Burrowed beneath a layer of my skin
You parasite!.
Draining me
Of the life which sustains me
I was a fool
I let you in many times
I was an open door
You came and went as you chose
I was a fool
You knew it
You knew everything about me
Or so you thought
You didn't see Jesus coming
You didn't hear His voice like me
You were busying yourself with my fall
Didn't see my rise
My shine
You wanted my soul
But you couldn't pry God's Hand open
Sure you use to cling to me
Then Jesus came,

Tick is harsh but a strong metaphor for a parasitic relationship!. Meter wise S1L3 read rough also S3L7 (I would just drop open)!. Your call, but maybe a metaphor for Jesus and God would make this more universal!. Overall, well done!. My compliments!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
