Question: Which poem is the BEST!?
A-Death looked me in the eye once
He asked me "what makes you different from the rest
in the world"
At first I didn't know how to answer
He asked again "what makes you different from the rest"
I opened my mouth to speak
But he raised his hand for silence and he had it
"What makes you different from all the rest is that
you are happy to see me"
Death looked me in the eye once and I grinned
B-Always searching for the lost familiar face
Never finding it in its protective place
Light does not help me in my search full of devastating despair
Dark engulfs me bringing my grief to a peak beyond real repair
Found you are now in the ground with every other sad soul
Lost you are forever now leaving me a godly goalWww@QuestionHome@Com

They are all acceptable "drafts", but each needs editing!.!.!.some more than others!. However, "C" has the best line of the bunch: "If your heart is set then don't let it be set in stone"
What follows is less!.!.!.and this single line deserves much better!.
You attempt to repeat the form with:
"If your mind is wandering then don't let it wander in
a hole"!.!.!.and although the concept has merit, "a hole" is weak!. You might try, "don't let it wander from me" or "don't let it wander from reality"!. These are really solid concepts which deserve further development!.
Think on each of these lines!.!.!.write a poem based on the pair of them!.!.!.don't get lost in the weeds!.!.!.think concepts!.
