I need some inspiration
To write this darned old poem
It’s something hard to come by
Something I well know
Perhaps maybe, I’ll buy some
But it is too high a price
& Most likely will be worthless
Like your useless, dumb advice
Not enough facts about penguins
Not enough stars in the sky
Frogs are completely useless
My ideas will burn and die
Sneezes distract me from writing
Paw prints cover my page
I start on a new sheet of paper
But my mind is trapped and caged
(Hard enough to come by
Harder yet and still
Look at how far I’ve gotten
By pure and simple will)
Random ideas thrown about
Words rhymed aimlessly
Cheese, a chair an apple or two
Tales spun shamelessly
Stories swimming in my head
Echoes of spoken word
I use for writing purposes
Then, an idea so absurd!
Surprisingly it seems
Inspiration can’t be found
It can’t be bought or borrowed
By rules it isn’t bound
By way of luck it shall
Simply to you come
Wonderingly, magically
I must’ve been so dumb
As to not realize brilliance
Though something that takes skill
Inspiration comes to all
By a simpler, sheer mighty will
And so now, in conclusion
To this not so stupid poem
I’ve learned well and hope
Its something now well known
Inspiration is so simple
Its proven by sheer might
It shines through eternal darkness
With its evanescent golden light!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
