is time,
dust and sand,

I like it and, yeah, I can relate to it!. You have a good ear and are having a lot of fun with language--which I think is more important than what the poem is "about"!. I liked reading it and that's more important than understanding the exact situation you're writing about!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
