Question: Creating New Rhyming Words: If certain words do not have a comparable rhyme, then why doesn't someone!?
create new words to rhyme with them!?
eg words such as month, silver, orange, purple etc

It appears to me that language morphs and changes over the centuries!. If the rhymes to these don't exist why has someone not just gone and created them!?

I am guessing they would need to be adopted as Urban Talk language or slang in order for them to come into common everyday usage, in order for them to be considered a valid rhyming word of dictionary-entry worthiness!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Create the words!. Submit them to a dictionary company, or put them into Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia!.!.!. then, they may pass the inspections that (one time, perhaps still) go on in officially adding words to the English language!. You could rhyme them in another language, or maybe there is a word that rhymes!.

For month -- go to Olde English and add a th !.!.!. might work!.

The two words that are so often used as one --- a lot -- I've been watching to see if some English Professors somewhere will decide that alot has been used enough to make it a legitimate word!.

Cannot used to be two separate words!. In the can not form, there was more emphasis on the NOT; now it is simply one word!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

What do you mean by 'someone!?' We are all capable of creating words!. If you want to create a rhyme, do it! It may even get into the dictionary one day!. Poets are creative in language and form!. Cf: "T'was brillig and the slithy toves!.!.!." Louis Carroll's poetry in "Alice in Wonderland!." Those words have come to be called 'porte manteau' words because they carry more than one meaning!. You can do it too!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Get creative

Orange sounds like Oringe sounds like hinge or Oringe like Florins!.

I rhymed Month with c*nt once

Purple with steeple

Silver with river!.

My best one was Progeny with Ju87B,

but get inventive, writing is just recording the squeaks and grunts we use as language ane the variety just is not that great!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Words don't have to rhyme directly

Silver- Miller
Orange- Door Hinge
Month- Hunt
Purple- Hurdle

They can still rhyme if they have a common middle endingWww@QuestionHome@Com

Purple durple (dark purpled haze) Hows that!?Www@QuestionHome@Com
