Similes use the word "like", metaphors use the word "as"!. "Busy as a bee" is a metaphor!. Anyone who said it was a metaphor is wrong!. To put it simply, Metaphor and simile are both terms that describe a comparison: the only difference between a metaphor and a simile is that a simile makes the comparison explicit by using "like", "as", or "than!."
