Neck and Neck
Six years we spent growing up together,
And man, we sure fought tooth and claw!.
Both of us strived real hard to get ahead-
Still young, our ambitions were raw!.
Stop at nothing to outdo the other-
Whether sports, games, grades, or success-
Supporting the other along the way
So long "number one" was the best!.
We'd challenge and argue and duke it out-
Relentless, I'd roar blazin' mad!.
Ready am I to finish this bout
With the best damn friend I ever had!.
