There Ms!. Henchly waved a stick
while shouting in an accent thick!.
Homer and the Iliad
until our feeble eardrums bled!.
Relentless without pity; pander
Virgil, Horace and Menander!.

It's a shame how they spoiled poetry for us!. I had a prof in college who told me "you will never be a poet!. Poetry is serious business and all you want to do is be funny!." I guess he had never read Shakespear or Moliere!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Did you ever stop to consider - that most poets - seem to be well versed in the Greek and Roman mythology!? Since early childhood I was a mythology nut - and read every fable or sonnet - I could get my hands on!. I guess that is why I am - sometimes - so able to relate!. ;-)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Not bad but no Ms Henchly or Menander!. Enjoyed some but not all!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
