Question: Is there any imagery or irony!?
in this poem!?
-irony
-imagery

Nature's first green is gold
Her hardest hue to hold!.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour!.
Then leaf subsides to leaf!.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day!.
Nothing gold can stay!.

Pamila, you should do your own homework!.

It's ironic that what is most beautiful in life is often the most short-lived!. (Though I'm certain that is what your teacher is looking for, that is not really "irony")!. I think the image of Eden (where Adam and Eve lived in paradise) sinking into grief is a profound image of personification!.

I hope you copy the advice you get and are asked to explain it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
