Question: What is the allusion of this poem!?
Nothing gold can stay
by: robert frost

Nature's first green is gold
Her hardest hue to hold!.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour!.
Then leaf subsides to leaf!.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day!.
Nothing gold can stay!.

Eden~ allusion to the Garden of Eden in the Bible!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Robert Frost was alluding to a brightness like that of gold's reflective dazzle but that becomes dulled with time!. He uses first a botanical metaphor; and also the colors often in the sky at dawn that quickly fade; and the Biblical paradise of Eden that was lost when Adam and Eve fell from the Creator's good graces!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
