Question: Nothing we experience is ever really left behind!. Do you agree!? What do you think of my poem!?

Left Behind

Walked away
hoping to forget!.
Crossed over
many a bridge
to move on
with my life,
only to have it
re-enter my world
when
my heart
reaches
out to another!.

The compassion
that reaches
across the divide
to offer hope,
re-connects to
what can no longer
be left behind !. !. !. !. !.
a very old friend

Bridges crossed are left open to go back if one chooses,
and the wreckage of the past is fully removed, other wise
no change takes place for the good of all and all else!.
Would be my answer, if I have the message of this poem
right!. Then Joy awaits each on the other side, unconditionally!.
As it takes two to make a right!.

nice poem but the secret to poetry i think is "telling by showing" and "showing by concealing" hence the common employment of metaphor and figures of speech to put focus on something!. that is what separates prose from poetry i think!. but then again i may be wrong!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
