STONE
So dark and eerie is this place I am in,
the light is so dim that I can not see to walk,
but upon the walls,
in a dim light is written the past,
upon the walls is drawn figures that will
for all time last!.
In poses they do stand,
of guards and princesses,
there faces blank!.
They watch me walk by
with blue eyes so bright,
but I know not there names,
only the past written in stone!.
In this tomb I do wonder,
walking on the sand that
has not been tread upon for
thousands of years!.
Watching the figures drawn
play out before me!.
They dance in stilled motion,
they show there lives and there
deaths!.
The hall with out light that I blindly walk,
now opens up in to a chamber
of stone!.
Sitting up ahead on a aged throne,
is the figure of a man that once did rule!.
He watches me with cold stone eyes
and they seem to say “here you must stay,
for as you walked your story has been written
on the walls and you have reached the end”Www@QuestionHome@Com
