Question: My poem- I have writer's block and I need some help on my poem!!?
Ok, well here is my poem so far!. It is called "Through Autistic Eyes" because I am slightly autistic and I'm writing a poem about how I feel, but I'm stuck, so I was wondering if you guys could give me some advice!. Thanks!
"Through Autistic Eyes"
Take a look inside my mind,
This strange world you will find,
A land devoid of social thought,
That leaves the mind to be distraught!.
I speak the truth and tell no lies,
This is life through autistic eyes
I hide behind a clever mask,
That no one knows to even ask,
Pretending to be the extrovert,
Living a lie so I don't get hurt
I speak the truth and tell no lies,
This is life through autistic eyes
To not understand is a curse,
And socially it is much worse,
To feel the pain of isolation,
Leads me to extreme frustration
I speak the truth and tell no lies,
This is life through autistic eyes
I won't deny that I resent,
Normal people to some extent,
Because they'll never feel or know,
The isolation of this woe!.

Nothing, It's very insightful and gives a perspective on what it's like to be autistic!. I think it is a remarkable poem that reveals things most other poems don't, and being autistic seems like something harder than what most can understand!. You seem to be a gifted person, with much potential in writing and possibly other things, don't limit your abilities by spending all your energy focusing on how you are 'different' from everyone else, channel that energy to be who you are!. I am sure whatever you choose to write about, whether its autism or not, you would be beyond spectacular as a writer even 'through normal eyes'!. Thanks for the read!.
