Question: Poem I wrote when I was younger- What do you think!?

As soon as he spoke those three words

I didn't believe my ears

I never thought we’d feel alike

Looking with his hopeful eyes

He waited long for my reply

Standing there in front of me

With his marvelous faith filled grin

Here’s the best day of my life

I left my spot and hugged him tight

When at last I found my voice

I whispered in his perfect ear

The poem's all right, but what you are trying to write about has been written before, you know!? =) And when you write about something that's been written about before, extra, extra care is needed to make the poem stand out among others like it!.!.!.
