Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Ah, Astrophil and Stella!.

Sleep, come, sleep that brings peace,
That gives imagination and inspiration, and it soothes pain,
That gives a poor man the luxury of relaxation, and the prisoner release from imprisonment (in his dreams),
That doesn't distinguish between high and low (everyone sleeps);
Please shield me from the despair that attacks me like darts,
Let my inner conflicts rest,
I will give you what you request:
Take me with smooth pillows and a sweet bed,
A room that is quiet and dark,
A flowered garland, a tired head!.
If all these things (that belong to you),
do not satisfy you, you shall see in my dreams
Stella's beautiful image!.

Basically Astrophil talks about how great sleep is (everyone does it, it relaxes, frees imaginations, ends strife, etc!.)

Then he pleads for Seep to take him (for him to fall asleep)!. He tempts Sleep with soft pillows and a quiet room, things that are generally conducive to sleep!. Then he promises Sleep that if he does get to nod off, he will surely dream of Stella so that Sleep can behold her infinite beauty too!.
