Question: Ever felt hope in the midst of sorrow!?
Joy Will Return

Sadness seeps
into all the corners
of my soul
squeezing out the light
that was once there!.

Death has a way
of knocking the wind
out of your sails
setting you adrift,
in a wide open sea!.

Darkness falls on sorrow;
it hurts to lift heavy eyes
to a rising sun,
and face a new dawn!.

Yet these words keep
rumbling in my head !. !. !.
“All things come to pass!.
But the love will remain
even in the wounded heart;
to spark the joy
that will return one day!.”Www@QuestionHome@Com

This is a lovely poem!.

Each stanza is a poem unto itself, showing the sadness of lost love; the way losing makes you feel dead inside; the sorrow that can lead to a rising sun -- perhaps from crying all night; then the heart is open and ready to try again!.

Excellent work!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

C!.S!. Lewis said of him self,

"No one ever told me grief felt so much like fear!."

Your poem is deep into the words that express grief, I especially like the 3rd stanza, one does feel the anchor
is hoisted, and facing a new dawn seems empty!. KudosWww@QuestionHome@Com
